CareGivers Direct seeks to match seniors with caregivers who can help with their specific needs in an efficient manner and at an affordable rate. Many of the seniors who benefit from this service are afflicted with illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and require in-home healthcare for their day-to-day living.
CareGivers Direct strives to improve the quality of life for seniors who suffer from such illnesses and their families by helping them obtain the quality care they deserve. As their partners, we hope to not only spread awareness on Alzheimer’s throughout the community but also assist in bettering the daily lives of senior citizens. |

Time Out is a student-run program whose main mission is to offer senior citizens suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia companionship, socialization, and meaningful conversations.
Each student is paired with a senior who shares similar interests and/or career goals and then given a variety of stimulating activities to interact with their senior mentor each week. Through this program, students not only get the opportunity to provide companionship to the seniors, but they also get the opportunity to learn new things and gather some words of wisdom from their senior mentors. Furthermore, this intergenerational program at UCLA also benefits the senior's caregivers, who often experiences physical and emotional strain, because it gives them several hours from their caregiving duties. |
WISE & Healthy Aging is a nonprofit social services organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of senior citizens through advocacy and innovative services.
